Head of Global Finance

Jean-Luc Parer was appointed Head of Global Finance Division in July 2009.
Previously and since January 2007, Jean-Luc Parer was Global Head of the Capital Raising and Financing division. Prior to that he was Deputy Global Head of Debt Finance. Parer began his career in 1981 within SG CIB's Inspection department. He then joined SG CIB in 1991 as Deputy Head and later Head of Structured Finance. In 2001 he was involved in setting up the debt finance business and in 2003 he became responsible for supervising the bank's Debt Capital Markets activities. He was appointed Deputy Global Head of Debt Finance at SG CIB in 2005.

Parer is a graduate of HEC and holds a Master's degree in Law

Global co-Head of Strategic and Acquisition Finance

Pierre-Yves Bonnet was appointed Global co-Head of Strategic and Acquisition Finance in September 2008. In 2001, Bonnet joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking's Equity Capital Markets origination team where he was Managing Director, responsible for the Financial Institutions, Automotive, Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors. He previously spent two years as a consultant for McKinsey & Company and prior to that, he spent four years as a government official within the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Bonnet is a Finance Inspector and graduated from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, and the École Nationale d'Administration.

Head of Emerging Markets Financing, Environment and Sustainable Development

Denis Childs was appointed Head of Emerging Markets Financing, Environment and Sustainable Development in September 2008. Denis Childs began his career at the Société Générale Group in 1978 when he joined the French Retail Banking network. In 1981, he moved to Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking as part of the Export Finance team where he created new areas of business and became Deputy to the Global Head of this activity. In 1993, he was appointed Head of the International Branch and in 1996 he created the bank's worldwide Commodity and Trade Finance business line. In 2007, he became Global Head of Natural Resources and Energy Financing.

Childs holds a Masters in Law and an MBA in Banking management

Deputy Head of Global Finance

David Coxon was appointed Deputy Head of Global Finance in July 2009. Prior to that, he was Deputy Head of Global Capital Markets Financial Engineering Activites.

Coxon started his career as a solicitor in International Finance at Linklater & Paine's in London and New York , before moving in 1987 to Paribas Capital Markets in New York as a structured finance banker. He returned to London in 1990 with Paribas as Global Head of Structured Finance. In 1996, he moved to Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking as head of UK Financial Engineering, was promoted to Deputy Global Head of Financial Engineering in 1997 and in 2001 became global head of Tax, Debt Advisory and Hybrid Products within the Debt Capital Markets division. In January 2007, Coxon became Global Head of Structuring & Trading before being appointed Deputy Head of Global Capital Markets Financial Engineering Activites in April 2008.

Coxon holds an LLB from the University of Nottingham.

Global Head of Real Estate & Lodging

Jean-François Despoux was appointed Global Head of Real Estate & Lodging in February 2009. Despoux was formerly Deputy Head of Capital Market Finance and Global Head of Securitisation.

After spending six years at CCF (HSBC) in Paris, Despoux joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1995 where he was responsible for the securitisations business covering European financial institutions. In 1997, he moved to Asia (Hong Kong and Tokyo) to set up the Securitisation teams in that region. In 2001, he was appointed Head of SG CIB’s European securitisation business, a position he held until the beginning of 2008 when he became Global Head of Securitisation. He was appointed Deputy Global Head of Capital Markets Finance in 2008, before becoming Global Head of Real Estate & Lodging Finance.

Despoux holds an engineering degree in IT and mathematics from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique et de Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble (ENSIMAG) and an MBA from the Paris Graduate School of Business.

Global Co-Head of Strategic and Acquisition Finance

Marie-Christine Ducholet was appointed Global Co-Head of Strategic and Acquisition Finance in September 2008. Prior to that, she was Deputy Head of Strategic and Acquisition Finance from 2007 to 2008.
Ducholet joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1985. From 1990 until 2001, she held senior positions in the Real Estate and Structured Commodity Oil and Gas teams. She joined the Strategic and Acquisition Finance team in 2001 as a Managing Director, responsible for a portfolio of French and Spanish corporates and later for all European activities.

Ducholet is a graduate of HEC.

Head of Global Capital Markets

Jean-Marc Giraud was appointed Head of Global Capital Markets in September 2008. Prior to that, he was Head of Strategic & Acquisition Finance from 1997. Giraud joined the Inspection department of Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1982, after two years as a consultant at the OECD.  He joined SG CIB in 1989, where he held the positions of Deputy Head of Real Estate Financing, then Head of the Leisure and Transportation sectors within the bank’s coverage department.
Jean-Marc holds a PhD in Economics.

Global Co-Head of Syndication

Alvaro Huete was appointed Global Co-Head of Syndication in September 2008. Prior to that, he was Deputy Global Head of Syndication from 2007 to 2008. Huete joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1997 as Director of the Structured Finance Department. He was then appointed Head of Corporates and Institutions and Co-head of Debt Finance in Spain and Portugal before being promoted to Deputy Global Head of Syndication in February 2007. Prior to joining SG CIB, Huete spent three years at Nomura, first in Madrid as Director of the Iberian Desk and then in London as Director of the Corporate Finance Group. He has also performed duties in the investment banking divisions of Banco Urquijo and Lloyds Bank.

Huete holds a degree in economics from CUNEF in Madrid and a master's degree in Business Administration from IESE in Madrid.

Global Co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Sales for Issuers

Albert Loo was named Global co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Sales for Issuers in July 2009.

Albert began his career in 1991 at Société Générale as part of the IT team in charge of asset management accounting project. He was appointed Head of Middle Office for Interest Rate Derivatives in 1994 and took charge of the Front Office Risk Management of Europe and Asia in 1996. In 1999, he joined the interest rate derivatives sales team responsible for French corporates and in 2001, he oversaw the French sales team for corporates and local authorities.  In January 2006 Albert was appointed Deputy-Head of European Sales in Interest Rate Derivatives. In 2007, he became Global Deputy-Head of Interest Rate & Foreign Exchange Derivatives and Global Co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Corporate Sales in April 2008. 

Albert has a PhD in Thermodynamics from Paris 7 University, graduated from ENSIA Engineer School and holds a Master's degree in Financial Markets from ITM.

Deputy Head of Global Finance

Jean-François Mazaud was appointed Deputy Head of Global Finance in April 2008. Prior to that, he was Head of Debt Capital Markets.

Mazaud began his career in 1991 as vice president at Indosuez Airfinance, working in Paris and subsequently in Tokyo. He joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1993 as chargé d'affaires of Equity Capital Markets, advising French corporates on fundraising transactions and taking part in the French government’s privatisation program. In 1997, he was made director of Equity Financing and put in charge of UK origination. From 1998 to 2004, he was Head of Equity Linked Origination, during which time he helped to consolidate SG CIB's position in the field. The Group ranked consistently in the European top five for equity-linked origination, and was twice named 'Equity Linked House of the Year' by IFR magazine.
From September 2004 to December 2006, Mazaud was Head of Debt Capital Markets Origination. In 2007, he became Head of Debt Capital Markets. Under his guidance, the bank consolidated its leadership in this market and was recognised 'Euro Bond House of the Year' by IFR in 2007.

Mazaud holds a master’s degree in Corporate Finance from the Lyon Graduate School of Management, as well as degrees from ESC Bordeaux and attended Strathclyde University, Glasgow.

Global Head of Leveraged Finance & Media Telecom Finance

Patrick Menard was appointed Global Head of Leveraged & Media Telecom Finance within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in April 2009. Prior to that, he was Global Co-Head of Leveraged & Media Telecom Finance since January 2007.

Menard worked previously at Paribas, where he was Head of Media and Telecoms finance and a member of the Investment Banking General management. His career at BNP Paribas also included a period as Head of Commercial Banking in Italy and three years as Head of the Los Angeles Office from 1991 to 1994. Menard joined SG CIB in 2000 as Global Head of Media & Telecoms before being appointed to his current role. Menard is a graduate of the ESSEC business school.

Global Co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Sales for Issuers

Pascale Moreau was appointed Global co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Sales for issuers in July 2009. Previously, she was Global Co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Corporate Sales and Risk Advisory since July 2008. Moreau joined the Interest Rate Derivatives team for French Corporates at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1998 as a Sales and a Strategy Manager for the team. She was specifically in charge of finding the most suitable products on IRS for Corporates. In January 2001, she created the European Cross-Selling team, making the best of in-house synergies with the SG CIB financing business lines. In January 2006, Moreau was appointed Deputy to the European Head of Interest Rate Derivatives Sales, then Deputy to the Global Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Sales in February 2007. From February 2008 onward, Moreau has been Global Co-Head of Interest Rate and Forex Derivatives Corporate Sales & Risk Advisory. Prior to joining SG CIB, Moreau worked for three years as a swap trader and as a proprietary trader on G7 currencies at the Caisse des Depôts et des Consignations (CDC).

Moreau holds degrees from École Polytechnique and from École Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Économique. Moreau also holds a degree in Actuarial Science.

Deputy Head of Global Finance

Pierre Palmieri was appointed Deputy Head of Global Finance in April 2008. Prior to that, he was Global Co-Head of Natural Resources and Energy Financing.
 
Pierre Palmieri began his career at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1987 in the Export Finance department. Then he took the responsibility for a finance engineering team. In 1994, he joined the commodities finance team and was appointed Global Head of Structured Commodity finance in 2001. His responsibilities were broadened in 2003 to include the mining sector and again in 2005 to include trade finance activities.

Palmieri is a graduate of the École Supérieure de Commerce in Tours.

Global Head of Export Finance

Denis Stas de Richelle was appointed Global Head of Export Finance at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking in September 2007, and led the team to win 'Best Export Finance Arranger' for the seventh consecutive year in June 2008, reaffirming the bank's position as market leader.
Born in Belgium, Stas de Richelle started his career with the Société Générale Brussels branch in 1990 as Corporate Banking Manager. He went on to become Head of International Short Term Trade Finance in Paris, before joining the Export Finance division in 1997 where he held a number of management positions before becoming Deputy Global Head of Export Finance in 2001.

Stas de Richelle graduated from the Solvay Business School VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussels) and holds an MBA from CEPAC-ULB in Brussels.

Global Head of Natural Resources Finance

Frederico Turegano was appointed Global Head of Natural Resources in 2008. Prior to that, he held the function of Deputy Global Head of Natural Resources and Energy Financing as well as Head of the Energy Group for the Americas starting in 2007. Turegano began his career at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in Chicago in 1990 after seven years at Continental Bank (now Bank of America) in Chicago and Miami. Since joining SG CIB, he has covered large corporate clients in the United States, was Deputy Head of the Financial Engineering team in Paris, was responsible for SG CIB's Latin American network and was Deputy Head of the Corporates and Institutions Division for the Americas.

Federico holds a bachelor's degree from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Global Head of Infrastructure & Asset-Based Finance

Matthew Vickerstaff was appointed Global Head of Infrastructure & Asset-Based Finance in January 2007. He was previously Head of Project Finance for the EMEA region.

Vickerstaff started his career at Hambros Bank in London, with duties in a number of structured finance departments including asset finance. In 1994 he moved to project finance with Hambros Bank before moving to Canada with Hambros, and subsequently Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1998 in order to head up the Americas infrastructure business. He returned to London in 1999 as Global Head of Infrastructure and Environment and in 2003 took up a position as Head of Project Finance for the EMEA region.

Vickerstaff holds a master's degree from Cambridge University.
