Head of Coverage and Investment Banking

Thierry Aulagnon was appointed Head of the Coverage and Investment Banking Division in July 2009.

He was previously heading the Corporates, Institutions and Advisory Division since January 2007.
Between 1975 and 1996, Aulagnon held several positions in the French Ministry of Treasury including Alternate Executive Director for France at the International Monetary Fund, Advisor to the Cabinet of the Minister of Economy, Finances & Budget, Deputy Director of the Treasury for banking affairs and public debt management, Head of the State Holdings Department and Chief Adviser to the Minister of Economy & Finance. In 1996, he became a managing director of the GAN insurance company. Aulagnon joined Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2000 as Senior Banker with responsibility for global relations with a number of large companies, governments and supranationals. He was then appointed Head of Global Investment Banking Division in 2003.

Aulagnon is a graduate of École Nationale d'Administration.

Chief Operating Officer, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking

Christophe Hioco was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2009.

Christophe Hioco started his career with JP Morgan where he held various senior positions during 28 years, in running business, operations and technology activities, and was also COO for Asia and then Europe; he played an instrumental role in the merger of JP Morgan with Chase Manhattan Bank. In 2003, he moved to McKinsey & Company as a senior advisor with a primary focus on business process optimization. In this function, he acted as a senior advisor to Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking’s management during the process of building the framework of its operating model transformation plan in 2009.

Christophe Hioco graduated from EDC Paris (Ecole des Créateurs et Dirigeants d’Entreprise).

Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, and CEO of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa

Slawomir Krupa was appointed Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, and CEO of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa in July 2009. Previously and since 2007, he was Chief of Staff for Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking

Slawomir Krupa began his career in 1996 as an Inspector within Société Générale’s Inspection department. He left the Group in 1999 to found and run an internet start-up in the field of e-finance in Eastern Europe. He joined again in 2002 and continued his work within Société Générale’s Inspection department. He was appointed to the management committee of the department in 2005.

Slawomir Krupa is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.

Head of Global Markets

Christophe Mianné was appointed Head of Global Markets in July 2009.

He was previously heading both Global Equity and Derivatives Solutions and the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities divisions since February 2009. Mianné joined Société Genérale Corporate & Investment Banking in 1988 in the sales department of the derivatives group and was later the Head of Financial Engineering until 1992 when he was appointed Head of Sales & Marketing for Equity Derivatives. In 1996 he became Deputy Head of the division and was appointed Global Head of Equity Derivatives in 1999. Mianné has been a member of the Société Générale Group Management Committee since July 2001 and is also the Chairman of the Board of Lyxor Asset Management.

Mianné is a graduate of the École Centrale de Paris.

Head of Global Finance

Jean-Luc Parer was appointed Head of Global Finance Division in July 2009.
Previously and since January 2007, Jean-Luc Parer was Global Head of the Capital Raising and Financing division. Prior to that he was Deputy Global Head of Debt Finance. Parer began his career in 1981 within SG CIB's Inspection department. He then joined SG CIB in 1991 as Deputy Head and later Head of Structured Finance. In 2001 he was involved in setting up the debt finance business and in 2003 he became responsible for supervising the bank's Debt Capital Markets activities. He was appointed Deputy Global Head of Debt Finance at SG CIB in 2005.

Parer is a graduate of HEC and holds a Master's degree in Law

CEO, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking

Michel Péretié was appointed CEO, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2008.

Michel Péretié began his career in 1980 at Banque Paribas, where he created and developed its derivatives group (equity, fixed income and foreign exchange). Further to looking after market activities in Japan, he then became Global Head of Equity Derivatives, Swaps, Credit Derivatives and FX based in London in 1996. In 1999, he was appointed Global Head of Fixed Income of the newly formed BNP-Paribas. He joined Bear Stearns in 2000 as Senior Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income and Derivatives for Europe and Asia. In 2004, he was appointed Chairman of Bear Stearns International and became CEO of Bear Stearns for Europe and Asia in 2006. He became a member of the Board of Bear Stearns & Co in January 2007.

Michel Péretié graduated from the Institute of Business Administration of Sorbonne University, Paris.
