Anheuser-Busch Inbev ("ABI"): MLA & Bookrunner sale of Central European operations to CVC for an enterprise value of c. EUR 1.6bn.

Anheuser-Busch Inbev ("ABI") sold Central European operations to CVC for an enterprise value of c. EUR 1.6bn. ABI is the leading global beer brewer, currently divesting non-core assets to refinance Inbev's acquisition of Anheuser-Busch in November 2008.
The transaction is the largest buyout in Europe since the collapse of Lehman Brothers.
Debt financing of EUR 690m has been provided by 12 banks in a club deal approach. SG CIB acted as Joint MLA and Bookrunner in this financing.
Deal opens up various cross-selling potential for interest, FX and commodities hedging as well as M&A opportunities.
