Societe Generale has been present in Poland since 1976, when it opened a representative office in Warsaw. After the political breakthrough of the end of the 1980s, it was transformed into a fully operational Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking branch in 1992. The branch offers a broad range of corporate and investment banking products and services such as: debt and structured finance products, investment products, currency and money market services. The branch also provides corporate cash management, trade services and custody services. It employs 200 persons in Warsaw and in five regional offices located in the main cities in Poland.

Besides the branch, Societe Generale group is represented in Poland by five other entities (3,700 employees altogether), offering varied financial services: Eurobank (consumer credits), SG Equipment Leasing Polska, ALD Automotive Polska, Amundi – private equity, SG Corporate Finance Polska.
