Foncière Développement Logements
Société Générale provided financing for the company Foncière Développement Logements (FDL) in a club deal with ING Real Estate Finance for an amount of EUR 70 million for seven years, secured in part by a portfolio of residential assets in France. On the whole, the portfolio, which is called "Printemps" and has a total value of EUR 138.2 million as at the date of the transaction, comprises roughly 500 units, including mostly residential units but car parks as well.
FDL is a listed property investment company, or SIIC (société d’investissements immobiliers cotée), which specialises in holding residential assets. With a presence in France and Germany, it has assets valued at EUR 3.4 billion (December 2009).
