Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking was voted third overall in commodity markets and first in 13 product categories by Risk and Energy Risk magazines.

SG CIB received its best commodity rankings ever in Risk Magazine and Energy Risk's February issues and is now ranked third in dealers on commodity markets and first in 13 product categories. In the field of metals, SG CIB has climbed to 3rd position this year, while keeping its 3rd place in oil. In natural gas, the bank has risen to 4th position this year (9th in 2007) owing to the bank's growing commercial franchise in the US and Canada, demonstrating its global market approach.

In Europe, Gaselys was ranked in the top 5 on every natural gas marketplace.  

Orbeo won first place in the European ETS Allowances Trading category.

The survey also confirms SG CIB's expertise in the field of commodity structured products.  The bank was voted first for investors for a second year running and first for corporates for a third year in a row.
