SG CIB has been named "Financial Advisor of the Year in France” by the Financial Times and Mergermarkert during the annual ceremony of the European awards which was held yesterday evening in London.
This recognition, for the first time ever, rewards our expertise in mergers and acquisitions. This commends the capabilities of the teams and the quality of the services provided to the clients that we accompany in their most strategic transactions in France and worldwide.
Since Q4-2011, SG CIB has been present on 35 M&A transactions in France, for a total value of €18bn (Q4-11 to Q3-12), confirming our status of first-class player on the French M&A market.
SG CIB has notably advised Galeries Lafayette on the disposal of its 50% stake in Monoprix to Casino, Accor on the sale of Motel 6 to Blackstone, the CFAO in the framework of the merger with Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Areva on the disposal of its 26 % stake in Eramet to the French fund FSI and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations in connection with its takeover of Veolia Transdev negotiated with Veolia Environment.
